It’s official – Marvel released the news that Paul Rudd will play the lead in the upcoming movie “Ant Man”.

The movie is set for a July 31, 2015 theatrical release.That’s almost 3 months after the release of “The Avengers: Age Of Ultron”. There’s no word on which “Ant Man” Rudd will play, but the fair assumption would play Dr. Henry “Hank” Pym who was a scientist that created the serum. On the other hand, he could play Scott Lang, who gets the serum after Dr. Hank Pym retires. The newest word (updated Jan. 14, 2014) is that Michael Douglas will play Dr. Hank Pym, and Paul Rudd will play Scott Lang.

I hope they go with Dr. Hank Pym, because in the comics, he has multiple personalities and him and his wife (who uses the same serum to become Wasp), have multiple different characters: he has Ant Man, Goliath, Yellow Jacket, and Giant Man.

AND Hank Pym was the one that created Ultron… so, let’s hope they follow the comics. But, it looks like Tony Stark/Iron Man will probably be the one to create the robot monster in The Avengers sequel…
