3 Reasons “The Incredibles 2” Must Happen!

There needs to be a follow up to “The Incredibles”, it was probably my favourite animated movie at the time, and it’s still a classic today.

Who wouldn’t want to see their favourite super-family back in action?

Brad Bird (director of the first Incredibles movie) said this to the HollyWoodReporter:

“I’ve been thinking about it. People think I have not been, but I have. Because I love those characters and love that world. I am stroking my chin and scratching my head”

He then added:

“I have many, many elements that would work really well in another (Incredibles) film, and if I can get ’em to click together, I would probably wanna do that… I have many different films I wanna make. It’s like a big airplane hangar and I have different projects on the floor; half-assembled in my brain… You kind of have to move on the ones that are willing to pay for and the ones you’re most excited about.”

Given that Bird’s priority at the moment is his second live-action feature: Tomorrowland, and that (like stated in the video above), a Pixar film takes somewhere around 3-5 years to make, it could be a couple years until we see the Incredibles back in action.

My question for everyone is:

If you’ve seen the first Incredibles movie, you’d know that the ending left us with the notion that The Incredibles would be back, to fight the Moleman that comes out at the end of the movie…

The question is: Do you think “The Incredibles 2” should tell the story from where the last one left off, or should it show us where the Incredibles are now?

If you’re into video games (some of you might be), and you want to know where the Incredibles went, and what they’ve been up to, you can check out these two video games that sort of surround the movie and go on to explain the whole “Moleman” situation…

What do you think of the Incredibles coming back for a sequel? What about the possibility of the story following that of the video game above? Also, any thoughts on what the title could be?
