The Simpsons Renewed For Seasons 33 & 34

The Simpsons has officially extended it’s already incredibly long-running TV series for an unprecedented 33rd & 34th season! Fox is renewing the favourite fictional animated American family through 2023 & probably beyond that. The series has been on the air since December 17, 1989 making it the longest running television series in history, not to mention longest running animated series & undoubtedly most awarded show in its category.

The series extension pushing the show into 2023 will make the record breaking show hit the unprecedented number of 757 episodes!

Showrunner & creator Matt Groening teased what fans can expect in the upcoming seasons:

“Everyone at THE SIMPSONS is thrilled to be renewed once more, and we are planning lots of big surprises. Homer will lose a hair, Milhouse will get contact lenses, and Bart will celebrate his tenth birthday for the thirty-third time.”
