According to Variety.com, Sir Ben Kingsley is set to play the antagonist in the upcoming trequel (third sequel) for the “Night at the Museum” franchise. The third instalment in the series is set for a Dec. 19th, 2014 theatrical release.

Sir Ben Kingsley has been cast as a Pharaoh that is revived by the gold tablet (from the first two movies) and will be the villain. Ot should also be noted that he will join the returning cast members Ben Stiller, Owen Wilson, Steve Coogan, Robin Williams and Ricky Gervais.

From IGN.com:

“According to Deadline, Kingsley plays “a formidable Egyptian pharaoh on display in the British museum,” who comes to life thanks to a magical tablet. Or is he just playing an out-of-work actor who’s pretending to be a formidable Egyptian pharaoh? Think about it.”

Anyone seen Iron Man 3? Did you understand the joke? Who likes the news of Kingsley joining the Night at the Museum franchise?
