Captain America: Civil War marks the beginning of PHASE THREE of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and will start an entirely new chapter of the franchise. Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) on one side, Captain America (Chris Evans) on the other. The tagline reads Divided We Fall – more like Divided We Fight!
Captain America: Civil War Trailer
The end credits scene of Ant-Man showed Falcon (Anthony Mackie) & Cap (Evans) enlisting the help of Ant-Man (Paul Rudd) himself to help remove Bucky from having his arm stuck. Which is where the trailer begins, but Ant-Man is nowhere to be seen… Captain America is then presented with that fact that the government wants to put limitations on what these so-called superheroes can & can’t do. Especially after the events in Avengers: Age Of Ultron. But with these limitations comes the Super-human Registration Act which forces them to reveal their identity to the government. Although Captain America is a public figure & his identity isn’t exactly a secret, he believes this is a restriction of freedom. Tony Stark/Iron Man (who at this point in the comics is head of S.H.I.E.L.D.) thinks otherwise.
The teams are set and the battle is ready to happen. Albeit a small battle between 5-6 people on each side (much smaller than in the comic books where there hundreds of characters involved), it look to be an exciting battle!
Captain America (Chris Evans), Falcon (Anthony Mackie), Scarlett Witch (Elizabeth Olsen), Bucky/The Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) & Ant-Man (Paul Rudd)
AGAINST:
Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), War Machine (Don Cheadle), Black Widow (Scarlet Johanson), Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman) and Vision (Paul Bettany).
