Jay Baruchel’s upcoming sitcom Man Seeking Woman follows Josh Greenberg and his active imagination as he recovers from a serious breakup, and when he tries to get back into the dating game he can’t help but see his options as less than wonderful. In fact he sees the women, that he gets set up with as monstrous trolls (seen above), fairies, and more.
The show has been filming for the last couple of months in Toronto and other locations in Ontario, Canada, but will come out on the American network FXX on January 14th, 2015 (I’m assuming a nearby release for other countries as well).
There are two promos, hopefully you can watch them. TheSecondTake.com operates out of Canada, and some of the copyrighted videos from the United States are, well, blocked.
Still waiting for the first trailer, but the poster is interesting enough, I’ll be watching it when the pilot episode airs.
What do you think of the plot? Any thoughts on the concept of the show – that he sees the women as mythical, imaginary creatures that describe what he thinks of them? How do you think the show will turn out?
