Heroes Reborn will be a 13-part miniseries on NBC coming in 2015. Series creator Tim Kring is coming back to produce and be a part of the planning for this special return of Heroes.

“Shows with that kind of resonance don’t come around often and we thought it was time for another installment,” NBC Entertainment President Jennifer Salke said in a release just after the announcement, that happened during NBC’s coverage of the Winter Olympics. “We’re thrilled that visionary creator Tim Kring was as excited about jumping back into this show as we were and we look forward to all the new textures and layers Tim plans to add to his original concept.”

While NBC is being scarce on details about the show but Salke added that it was possible some familiar faces may return for the miniseries.

“NBC will also launch a digital series to introduce new characters and storylines to the mythology before it premieres. “Heroes” originally ran on NBC from 2006-2010.” (Zap2it.com)
