The follow-up series to the Disney hit “Boy Meets World” just got some amazing news: it got picked up for an extra 8 episodes for it’s first season.
“Girl Meets World” will follow the child of Cory and Topanga who fell in love during the first show (“Boy Meets World”) that finished almost a decade and a half ago (the show ran between 1993 and 2000). It was announced earlier today that the show would get these 8 additional episodes for it’s first season and Danielle Fishel broke the news via twitter:
There is no release date, but I would assume it’s sometime soon in 2014, maybe they’re going to grab a Fall spot.
If the show originally had 13 episodes, but now has a full 21 for it’s first season, that can mean two things, and two things only:
1) the show is good, and the studio has faith in it, so they want fans to have a full season, because there will be more to follow.
2) the show is not so good, but the studio doesn’t want to disappoint fans, so they’re getting the (“Boy Meets World”) gang back together and letting them hang out for a couple episodes extra, because the show will probably only run one season.
What do you guys think will happen? Will the show be any good? What do you think of the plot?
