The big screen cannot get enough of Kevin Hart lately: “Grudge Match” in December, “Ride Along” in January, “About Last Night” in February, and “Think Like A Man Too” coming in June, and now, there’s word that we might be seeing a little bit of Hart on the small screen.
And by that, I mean, there’s going to be a show, loosely based on Kevin Hart’s life… starring someone else.
That’s right folks, this show will not be “Curb Your Enthusiasm”-ish. It’ll be more of a sitcom with a character that is recently divorced and him and his wife are attempting to forge a friendship for the sake of their kids, but have troubles… The more I write about this, the less it sounds like it will be Kevin Hart-style funny, but it has potential.
Kevin Hart has signed on to produce the pilot, and Neil Goldman & Garrett Donovan (two former executive producers for “Community”) have signed on to write the first episode.
Deadline.com reports that if the show gets picked up, Hart will play a recurring role in the series, but not the lead.
No title as of yet, and also, no release date.
What do you think the show will be like? Any chance his stand-up routines will become a plot-line for the show? Are you guys excited?
