This is Bateman’s first attempt at directing a movie and hopefully it turns out well, because for some reason he seems to be the strong comic lead (Arrested Development, Horrible Bosses) and then he disappears for a while in the movie & tv business. Which is too bad, I want Bateman around for a whole lot longer, he’s one of those talents that seems to have surfaced and then stayed there, hasn’t quite peaked yet. I think good things are coming for Jason Bateman.

With (possibly) another season of Arrested Development (and perhaps), a movie to go with it, and a sequel to the surprisingly popular Horrible Bosses (coming in the next year), I hope this is a build up for Bateman, and after watching the trailer for this (Bad Words), we might just be in luck.
