Currently, Jason Statham is involved in both the Fast & Furious and The Expendables franchises, and he reports that filming of the upcoming sequels to both will not interfere with each other.
If you have not seen Fast & Furious 6, I won’t spoil it, besides saying this: Jason Statham will be in Fast & Furious 7. Nothing more than that.
Jason Statham’s involvement in the franchise is directly tied to the ending of Fast & Furious 6. During his chat with ComingSoon.net, he was asked a very important question:
CS: “Is production of that going to interfere with “Expendables 3″?”
Statham: “No, we’ve worked it out. I’m gonna be able to do the two back-to-back. Let’s just say for the next seven weeks I’m gonna do nothing. I’m gonna lay on my back and do nothing, and then go to work. It’s great to have two ensemble pieces where the weight’s not on my shoulders, it’s just gonna have a little fun and enjoy myself.”
Both are set to start filming within the next couples months.
The Expendables 3 is set for release August 15, 2014 and Fast & Furious 7 is scheduled to hit theaters on July 11, 2014.
What do you think of The Expendables franchise? And the Fast & Furious movies? Any thoughts on a crossover? It might get confusing, so probably not…
