So it appears Chevy Chase will return as the “mysterious hot tub repair man” for the sequel to the 2010 hit “Hot Tub Time Machine”, and that his “Community” (ex) co-star Gillian Jacobs will be joining in the time traveling fun, probably playing the female lead/love interest, maybe opposite Adam Scott (who’s also new to the gang)…

So the question becomes: How awkward will it be for Chase & Jacobs to be on the same set after the whole Community meltdown Chase had? I’m sure it won’t be that bad, because to be honest, Chase wasn’t wrong… I won’t go into more detail than that.

The more interesting thing is that 4 of the 5 stars have been on NBC’s best shows lately: Clark Duke & Craig Robinson – The Office, Adam Scott – Parks & Recreation,  and now Chevy Chase & Gillian Jacobs – Community. Oh and Rob Corddry was in Community a couple times, so I guess that counts.

Director Steve Pink is also returning, and reports say the movie just started initial filming, which means we can expect to see “Hot Tub Time Machine 2” hit theaters sometime around spring of 2014.
