A follow-up to the 2010 comedy hit “Hot Tub Time Machine” will star Craig Robinson, Rob Corddry, Clark Duke, and Adam Scott(?). Yup, apparently John Cusack isn’t interested in returning for the sequel, instead, Parks And Rec/Step Brothers actor Adam Scott (far left, above) will not replace Cusack, but Scott will be playing a new character.

Filming might start as soon as this summer, and as soon as Adam Scott officially signs on, production will start. Steve Pink, director of the original film, is also back, so that’s good. No word yet on whether or not Chevy Chase will be returning. Chevy Chase is returning, along with one of “Community” (ex) co-stars.
Also, no word on the plot, but the rumours are that the plot could be them going back to the 90’s (in the first HTTB they went back to the 80’s), and causing all kinds of mayhem, yet again.
I’m just curious to see Scott playing the lead, in Parks And Rec, he plays the love interest for Amy Poehler, but isn’t the funniest character (he plays this semi uptight & dull accountant/campaign manager), and in Step Brothers, he plays Will Ferrell’s mean actual brother (not a step brother)… So like I said, this is going to be exciting to see him shine in a comedic way, hopefully he pulls it off.
