Plot:

A recently slain cop joins a team of undead police officers working for the Rest in Peace Department and tries to find the man who murdered him.

Ryan Reynolds and Jeff Bridges are starring in this adaptation of the graphic novel, set to come out July 19th, 2013. Kevin Bacon, James Hong and Mary Lousie-Parker are said to guest star.

It’s interesting that the movie hasn’t even been released yet, and there’s already word of a sequel:

Ryan Reynolds said:

“It could be a franchise. It certainly is set up, plot-wise, for a sequel. But nobody’s signed on for that just yet. We would like it to be [a film series.]”

The trailer just came out!

So the question becomes (after you watch the trailer): Is this just Men In Black but with undead people instead of aliens? It sure seems so, but really, who cares? This looks fantastic, I’m for sure going to see it. And I kind of hope it becomes a franchise, because Men In Black 3 just disappointed… Time another duo to step in, and I think Reynolds and Bridges will do. I mean, just look at these shots of them on set, and tell me they’re not a good pair.
