300: Rise of an Empire is a (sort of) spin-off to the 2006 hit “300”. The plot: The Greek general Themistocles battles an invading army of Persians under the mortal-turned-god, Xerxes.So far, it appears that this movie will not be a prequel or a sequel to the first 300, but it will take place at the same time, but on the ocean. Also, it looks like there will only be 4 returning characters: Queen Gorgo, Xerxes, Ephialtes, and Daxos.
