Really this time, there is a Finding Nemo sequel in the works, but it isn’t Nemo that’s lost this time, it’s Dory…Set to be released November 25 2015 (I know, it’s so far away…). Ellen Degeneres is set to reprise her role as the voice of Dory, the lovable, yet forgetful blue tang fish. In a recent statement she gave, she said that she has been waiting a long time for the film to be made:
“I’m not mad it took this long. I know the people at Pixar were busy creating ‘Toy Story 16.’ But the time they took was worth it. The script is fantastic. And it has everything I loved about the first one: It’s got a lot of heart, it’s really funny, and the best part is—it’s got a lot more Dory.”
I saw this on 9gag.com and thought it was pretty fitting, and probably true.
Ellen announced the upcoming sequel on her show a couple of days ago:
Are you guys excited about this sequel? Should they have waited until they were further in the project before promoting it? I’m not loving that it’s not going to be released for more than 2 years, why tell us now, what are your thoughts?
