“Die Hard” in the White House! That trailer is pretty awesome

This new movie is coming out in a couple months, but is it really that new?

White House Down’s plot:
“A Secret Service agent is tasked with saving the life of the U.S. President after the White House is overtaken by a paramilitary group.”
Olympus Has Fallen’s plot:
“Disgraced former Presidential guard Mike Banning finds himself trapped inside the White House in the wake of a terrorist attack; using his inside knowledge, Banning works with national security to rescue the President from his kidnappers.

The more and more I look at Channing Tatum’s head in the poster, the bigger it gets…

The poster is pretty decent, and I’m excited to see it to compare White House Down with Olympus Has Fallen. It’s pretty interesting that both movies have a similar pot and come out around the same time, probably because the studios wanted to put them up against each other and see which one wins, the “300” star Gerard Butler or “21 Jump Street” star Channing Tatum.

Something that I found interesting was “Olympus Has Fallen” was originally called White House Taken, I haven’t been able to find anything about why they changed the name, but I would assume it’s because that would make it that much more like White House Down.
