According to EntertainmentWeekly.com, James Spader is set to play Ultron in the upcoming Avengers sequel: “Avengers: Age Of Ultron”.

The movie is set for a May 5th, 2015 release.

So far, there’s no word on whether or not Spader “will perform motion-capture to play the mechanical being (as Mark Ruffalo does for his scenes as The Hulk), or simply provide the character’s voice.” (EntertainmentWeekly.com)

Seeing as Spader is starring in NBC’s The Blacklist this coming year, he might not have enough time to film the mechanical parts, so my bet would be that he only plays the voice for Ultron.

What do you think of the casting choice? Any thoughts on whether he’ll be the body and/or the voice? Is this a good fit for Spader?
