As of right now, it’s just a rumour going around that the sequel to Joss Whedon’s “Avengers” could be heading to South Africa & South Korea, more specifically the Gangnam Station area, Gangnam Road Cheongdam bridge, and Songdo in April to May.

Now, this news comes from ComicBookMovie.com in an article that was translated on a Reddit post that was originally found on ExtMovie, which is apparently a pretty credible South Korean movie news website. The article explains that where the shoots will take place, when they’ll be there, and that there are some possible Korean actresses involved for a villain role.

Here check out the full post:

“Extra info – Hollywood’s Marvel Team rented 1000sq ft (?) of filming equipment. Setting – Using S.Korea’s background as an “IT super power”, the film will have “Ultron” be created by some tech company in Gangnam. Ultron wakes up and wreaks havoc in surrounding area. 5 South Korean actresses are under consideration for a villain role. They are Kim So Yeon, Kim Min-hee, Han Go-eun, Han Ye-seul, and Kim Min-jung. It’s 30 minutes worth of footage that’ll be used in the movie and there will be total of 15 shootings. First filming will be on April 3rd, 2014. A lot of staffs are being hired for this shoot and they’re scrambling as much HD cameras that are in Korea as they can get their hands on and Korean film industry invested $billion into this shoot. Again, this is just a rumor that I translated from a Korean website. The website itself is credible as directors and actors visit that website frequently to advertise their films and such. – Reddit”

But Mark Ruffulo (Bruce Banner in The Avengers) denied the Wes when a fan tweeted him:

Now the movie has three (possible) villains:

– <ahref=”https://thesecondtake.com/2014/01/16/avengers-age-of-ultron-casts-new-villain/”>Thomas Kretschmann as Baron Von Stucker

James Spader as Ultron

– and now, these Korean actresses could be up for a part.

– Did you guys catch that Elizabeth Olsen and Aaron Johnson-Taylor will play Scarlet Witch & Quicksilver in the upcoming sequel?

Is that last bit (in the twitter post) “but the Marvel universe is big” a hint that a different Marvel film could be going to South Korea? What do you guys think of the possible creation of Ultron in South Korea? Any thoughts on those Korean actresses?
