Homer & Marge To Separate, Bart Gets Killed in Simpsons Season 27

It seems like the writers of The Simpsons are switching the dynamic of the show with the upcoming season, with some serious changes coming – starting with Sideshow Bob finally killing Bart (in the Treehouse Of Horror episode) and Homer & Marge splitting up in the premiere episode.

According to an interview Producer Al Jean had with Variety:

In the premiere, it’s discovered after all the years Homer has narcolepsy and it’s an incredible strain on the marriage. Homer and Marge legally separate, and Homer falls in love with his pharmacist, who’s voiced by Lena Dunham. We’ll have cameos from the other women from Girls.

Season 27 is about to begin production but most of the episodes are already written.

In an interview with EW, he spilled more details about the upcoming season:

“I hated frustration comedy so we’ll scratch that itch,”

So Sideshow Bob will finally kill Bart Simpson and then won’t know what to do with himself.

He continued on about the season and hinted that Spider Pig will be returning too.

What are your thoughts on the upcoming 27th season of The Simpsons? What do you think of the show lately? Any thoughts on this latest news?
