The plot summary from ComingSoon.net:

Marvel Studios presents “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” the epic follow-up to the biggest Super Hero movie of all time. When Tony Stark tries to jumpstart a dormant peacekeeping program, things go awry and Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, including Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, The Incredible Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye, are put to the ultimate test as the fate of the planet hangs in the balance. As the villainous Ultron emerges, it is up to The Avengers to stop him from enacting his terrible plans, and soon uneasy alliances and unexpected action pave the way for an epic and unique global adventure.

Marvel’s “Avengers: Age of Ultron” stars Robert Downey Jr., who returns as Iron Man, along with Chris Evans as Captain America, Chris Hemsworth as Thor and Mark Ruffalo as The Hulk. Together with Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow and Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, and with the additional support of Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury and Cobie Smulders as Agent Maria Hill, the team must reassemble to defeat James Spader as Ultron, a terrifying technological villain hell bent on human extinction. Along the way, they confront two mysterious and powerful newcomers, Wanda Maximoff, played by Elizabeth Olsen, and Pietro Maximoff, played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and meet an old friend in a new form when Paul Bettany becomes Vision.

What do you guys think? Any thoughts on James Spader as Ultron? Any thoughts on the Hulk Buster?

  1. Wow! Looks intense! Refresh us on who is Ultron?

    • WELL, it’s a little different in the Marvel Cinematic Universe than it was in the comics: in the comics, Dr. Hank Pym/Ant-Man built Ultron, but for the movies, they’re going with Tony Stark/Iron Man.
In Iron Man 3, Tony Stark can control his own suit and his automated butler JARVIS (who’s supposed to be the closest thing to perfect AI) has control of the rest of Tony Stark’s (“free”) armours/all the Iron Man suits that were unmanned. In the end of the third Iron Man, we saw all these suits either get blown up or busted in and after the final fight. BUT at the end of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, SHIELD is broken, and Tony Stark would naturally be the answer to help them rebuild and he uses his intelligence and same concept for those AI-type suits to help the police the world with the help of his AI Ultron. A robotic program that can automatically identify and neutralize threats using automated Iron Man suits. In an effort to make Ultron’s artificial intelligence more human, Stark does the best he can at building his personality into Ultron but that ends up being a recipe for disaster. Before Stark’s kidnapping in the first Iron Man, he didn’t have the most admirable personality and mindset, and so Ultron takes things to the extreme, believing that the most dangerous thing on the planet are humans and The Avengers.

      So not a good guy…
