The boys are back in town for round three of The Expendables series and Sylvestor Stallone wants the some of the other cool kids to join in this time, and that might just include Jackie Chan, Nicolas Cage and Wesley Snipes.

Not only was the first Expendables movie an unprecedented event of absolute awesome action, but it was brilliant. What’s better than seeing your favourite action stars from 20 years ago kick *ss today? Seeing them team together to do it, that’s what.

Not only would the Stallone-Willis-Stallone-Schwarzenegger “Quad” (I wanted to say trio, but that means three…you know what I mean, a trio, but there’s four of them) be enough for movie fans drop their jaws with excitement, but they’ve been piling on the names since…

And the latest rumours are that Nicolas Cage, Jackie Chan, & Wesley Snipes are really close to siging onto the project. And that maybe even Mila Jovovich, Steven Seagal, Luke Evans (Fast & Furious 6) & Joe Talism (martial artist star of The Raid: Redemption) could be showing up in the third installment. Although, it’s pretty much confirmed that Mickey Rourke will be returning as his character “Tool”. Also a possibility for Expendables 3 is Forest Whitaker, who was originally supposed to be in the first Expendables, but got replaced by Terry Crews (a wise decision), but apparently, Sly (Stallone) has a part for Whitaker: “Mik”… interesting.

No word on a release date, but filming hasn’t started yet, so I’m guessing a release late 2014… Hopefully sooner than that, but let’s not get too excited.
